Maine 400 Rally Discussion

Bob and I are starting the planning for the 2011 Maine 400 Rally. The 2010 Rally was a great success for the people that rode it. They all had a great time, a great ride around the state, and said they'd do it again. In addition, it seemed to really work well in conjunction with the DownEast Rally.

We'd like to get more people riding in the rally next year. So, we're tossing around thoughts of the best day to run the rally, and beginning to think about next year's bonus points. We'd also like to get more BMW RSM members enrolled in riding in the rally.

Watch this area (Other Events) and this thread for discussions on the rally. If you have feedback, reply to these posts. We're working on a poll that we may post here to get more specific feedback.

In the meantime, would you ride the rally if it were held that Friday (May 20th), of the DownEast Rally weekend? The starting time would be 7am at a location in Southern Maine, would take you all over Maine, and wrap up about 5pm at Hermit Island. This is all tentative now, but we're looking for feedback.
