The Harmonizer is available again!! - beemeup - 11-02-2012 07:02 AM

The Harmonizer, a very cool carburetor body balancing tool is available and in production again after a long, long period of not being available. When this first came out people were raving about good this product was and how it was much easier to use than the Twinmax. I spotted this on the BMWMOA boards this morning, followed the link and order one before they are gone again. You have to register for adventure riders, log in and go to page one of the forum on this topic in order to hit the "buy now" button and have it not give you an error message. I've been waiting for these to come back for months.....get 'em while their hot!Big Grin

Thanks for the heads up. I have a question though. I've read it over and I'm not sure if this would work for the 4 cyls or not.

"The gauge function can be used on motors with 3 or more cylinders/intake (like a car) but the tach function may not work reliably and may not work at all (due to diminished vacuum pulse amplitude attenuated in the plenum) and the gauge is much more heavily damped than it needs to be for such motors."

Is this better designed for the twins or can it be used on any bike?

My understanding is that it can be used for any bike. I've seen it used with an R1200RT with very good results which is what I'm planning to do with my Harmonizer. Here is a series of videos on this tool being used on a 750 Ural.
Not sure if this is helpful or not, but it does demonstrate how easy this tool is to use. I took delivery of mine yesterday and will plan to use it following my next valve adjustment on my R1200RT.
